It’s time again for another edition of Weird Stuff Wednesday! Here are three of our favorite weird and wonderful vehicles currently on Carsforsale.com. This week – A SuperLite Coupe, a Volvo Laplander, and a Jaguar Mark I.
Slightly resembling The Homer from The Simpson’s second season episode, “Oh Brother, Where Art Thou,” this 2015 SuperLite Coupe is a rare find. A kit car designed for an everyday American to build his/her own racecar, one piece at a time. If you haven’t heard of SuperLite, you have probably seen their creations featured in Fast Five, Need for Speed, and Iron Man 3.
Here is a rare military vehicle, coming from a neutral country. This Swedish Military Rescue 1967 Volvo Laplander L3314 HT features an all-original 1.8L, B-18A Drive-Line motor with under 43,000 miles, wench/pulley system, custom-built matching trailer and original owner’s manual. The same type of engine used in this Laplander holds the title in the Guinness Book of World Records for 2.5 million miles on a single engine!
This California car received a complete restoration of the interior, exterior, and engine just a few years ago. The 3.4L engine was replaced with a rebuilt 4.2L, the car received a new paint job, the chrome re-plated, and the interior wood refinished. If that wasn’t enough to make you fall in love, the seats were redone in Italian leather.
