Carsforsale.com just got its first look at the 2016 Honda Pilot from the 2015 Chicago Auto Show. The Pilot has suffered from an aging design, but boasts good fuel economy for the class and spacious seating in all three rows. The 2016 Honda Pilot claims “new standout technologies, versatility, and dynamics currently unavailable in the mainstream SUV segment.”
The 2016 Pilot has a rounder, somewhat sleeker design than previous pilots that were fridge-like and upright. It boasts even more interior space than previous models. Seating is spacious and comfortable in the first two rows, but the third row would only accommodate adults for a short distance.
A brand new navigation system with 8-inch touch screen make the new Pilot much more competitive electronically. Devices can be charged at one of the five USB ports. The Pilot has an HDMI port to accommodate a gaming console, two 12-volt power outlets, two headphone jacks and much more. Standard safety electronics include a standard back-up camera and blind spot indicators.
What are your thoughts on the 2016 Honda Pilot? Stay tuned as we continue to share our first looks from the 2015 Chicago Auto Show.
